The ICP is perennially adding new projects to the mix. Two of our current projects are establishing a program of volunteer greeters to help tourists learn about what North Adams has to offer, and orchestrating a variety of historical walking tours of the region.

Greeters

During the summer season, we plan to staff the MoCA parking lot (beside our large posted map) with volunteer greeters who can direct visitors to area restaurants and points of interest, answer questions about the town, and promote the many commercial and cultural offerings within walking distance of the museum. We anticipate beginning the program during select hours a few days a week, and hope to eventually expand it.

Walking Tours

The ICP is coordinating pre-existing walking tours of North Adams, currently those given by Joe Manning and by Paul Marino. We've established special tours on summer First Fridays, and in time we plan to expand the walking tours to more parts of town and more times per month/year.
